Bi-atrial anastomosis

Bi-Atrial Anastomosis
The bi-atrial anastomosis uses a single suture line joining the donor and recipient right and left atria. In this coronal section (4 chamber view) of the heart the suture lines are clearly shown. The other two anastomoses include the aorta and the pulmonoary artery (end-to-end) anastomoses.  Another common type of anastomosis is the bi-caval anatomosis.
