Non-bacterial thrombotic (Marantic) endocarditis

Nonbacterial thrombotic (Marantic) endocarditis. The vegetations ( white arrows) in marantic endocarditis are found along the lines of closure. Although the vegetations are not destructive, they are friable and can easily embolize or become infected.
